As you may be aware if you’ve read my recent Gift Haul post, then you’ll know that I received the Make-Up Revolution London 2017 Advent Calendar in the run up to Christmas, I utterly adore this easily affordable drugstore brand and therefore I’m excited to be sharing my views with you today. MURL typically stick with the same kind of products each year, or near enough, therefore this is a fantastic read for you to look back on later in the year when perusing and deciding upon which advent to treat yourself or a loved one to.
It hasn’t escaped my attention that I haven’t shared my favourites with you in quite some time, so lets remedy that now, shall we? Kick starting this with last year! Included in today’s post is a mix of choices, not limited to only cosmetics!
Beauty Advent Calendars seem to be ever on the increase in popularity over the last few years especially, since many can be rather pricey, in fact most are, I feel it’s a really helpful thing to seek out reviews on, in order to hunt out a bargain or simply to avoid disappointment. NYX (a brand I’ve yet to sample) are currently selling theirs for half of the retail price (were £50, now £25) and so I felt it were the perfect opportunity to see what all the hype is about!
To kickstart 2018 a much loved and ridiculously exciting fashion/beauty collaboration is back!! Yes that’s right, #BeautiesOnFire has returned and I couldn’t be more elated by this, especially as for the time being, I’ll be hosting it, yippee! This months theme is Press Play!
It’s a new year so lets be having new challenges and a change of palette to complete them with! I’m really hoping that switching up my palettes for 2018 will give me much more interesting eyeshadows to work with and likewise, some wilder and unique results!
It has of course recently been Christmas, also, my Birthday. I know there’s many of whom enjoy a little nosy at people’s gifts and appreciate a good haul, with this in mind I decided to share with you what I received, from this you can then make requests for anything you may be interested in me reviewing!
It’s that time again where we all reflect on the past year, usually say how pants it’s been and that we’re going to change into some magnificent, magical creature for the year ahead! Lets be realistic, none of us are going to grow a horn and become a unicorn, a new year only changes you if you work to put the changes in and you really don’t need to wait for the new year to do that. This being said, I do like to set myself goals and hold myself accountable for things, therefore why not take you on a little journey with me around my minds current plotting and planning state!
How exciting, a bonus post to finish off 2017! The lovely Rossy of AyR Galaxy tagged me in a photography challenge, I loved what she did with her’s and so felt rather enthusiastic about getting involved myself, especially as it’s the festive season, bringing with it millions of different pretty things to photograph!
You MUST have heard of the #BeautiesOnFire by now, though if not, do feel free to educate yourself here and here. In the meantime, as the collaboration will soon be resuming (our first post will be the 25th of January) I thought it would be a good time to pop up the FAQ’s!
So here we have the final Beauty Bingo post for 2017, did you enjoy this series? Good – as Rossy and I will be continuing with the challenge throughout 2018, too! For a little recap on this years Bingo looks, please do peruse the below links, after having a good nosy at today’s post, of course! 😉
