#BeautiesOnFire – Press Play

To kickstart 2018 a much loved and ridiculously exciting fashion/beauty collaboration is back!! Yes that’s right, #BeautiesOnFire has returned and I couldn’t be more elated by this, especially as for the time being, I’ll be hosting it, yippee! This months theme is Press Play!

First things first, if you’re unsure as to what the #BeautiesOnFire collaboration is, then please feel free to nerd up on the ins and outs of this here and here, additional posts may be found within those links, too. If you’d like to get involved yourself then we’d love to have you! If you’re getting involved already and are here to add your link, you can find it at the bottom of the post, the same as when Beth hosts this fabulous compilation! Now, lets get to the good stuff!

Press Play will mean something different for everyone, which is why I feel it’s such a fun theme to work on. I decided to go down the gamer route for this, as when I came up with the notion of ‘press play’ for a resuming theme for the collaboration, all I could think of were pressing the start button on a PS1 controller to unpause Spyro. With this in mind, since the PlayStation 1 is one of my favourite consoles, if not actually in the very top spot, and since Spyro is one of my most beloved also, I felt it only right to use the two for my inspiration for today’s beauty look! I can’t wait to see everyone else’s but for now, here are my own results.

    1. Thank you so much honey! I love your post too with the little collection of past posts! What a lovely mini trip down memory lane! Oh same here girl, same here! Honestly so excited I could potentially burst… Or maybe that’s all the food I’m currently stuffing into myself… Hmm. 😛

  1. This is such a cute look! I love how you worked all your favorites into both the post and the look! I was personally a Pokemon fan and only had Game Boys. And I think because of that I somehow missed the gamer reference to this month’s theme lol (I think I‘d have gotten it with Press Start). At least I’ve already done a Pokemon look.

    1. Thank you so much, I’m glad you liked it! I totally forgot all about Game Boys! My Mom used to be obsessed with Tetris on her’s when I were young. I never played any of the Pokemon games I had a few cards and some little figures instead that were my Barbie’s ‘pets’ ha ha. It’s just the word play instantly made me think of gaming but it really can be moulded to so many different things which is the beauty of this collaboration I think. I can’t wait to have a peek at your post! 😀

  2. I didn’t get a chance to comment when I was on my ipad but I really like how you went about it lol. I was desperately trying so hard a female character to re-create that wasn’t super simple, and funny enough, Alex suggested Resident Evil LOL

    1. Thank you, I’m glad you like it! I can’t wait to see yours and everyone else’s! How convenient, in all fairness I attempted to play it when I were around 7 years old…. Probably not one of my best ideas when the Butler in Tomb Raider creeped me out enough as it were ha ha!
