Hola hermosa (the Spanish for hello beautiful), I hope you have all had a simply joyous January, mine has certainly been filled with some surprises, if you are already a follower (this is indeed a very strong hint to hit that follow button, maybe even indulge in following me also on a vast array of options of which are located at the bottom of this post), then you may well have already experienced my ‘2015 favourites’, these types of posts prove to be popular and I thoroughly enjoy reading or watching other people’s myself, so why on earth not share with you my items of excitement for the past month? I wonder if we have any likes in common!
It’s so incredibly important to look for the positives in life no matter how insignificant they may seem, all too often in our busy routines do we fail to notice so many beautiful things harbouring happiness. Too often are we caught up in the mundane and fail to stop and smell the roses, as the saying goes. You may have already read my previous posts “Don’t Fall out with Autumn” and “Mini Moments of Mirth”, today I’m sharing with you my last ‘Moments of Mirth’ post for a while. I’ll no doubt find another way to incorporate the hidden treasures of life into my blog, however. Now, sit back and enjoy the exploration into my mind and the little things which make me smile, I hope they too offer you some form of contentment, no matter how trivial that may be.
It were seemingly millions of years ago that I last gave you a book review to devour. Okay maybe I’m exaggerating just a tiny smidge, it does seem awfully lengthy, though. Today I figured I’d put that notion right! I, as well as I’m sure millions more out there, find Danielle Steel to be a genius with words. Grab a cuppa and get cosy as I share with you my findings from my recent read.
Hello m’darling, as it’s ‘Motivational Monday’ here on the blog and it’s a few weeks into 2016 I thought now would be a good time to check in with the elusive new years resolutions. If you would like to familiarise yourself with my previous resolutions post of which I published on new years eve, then here it is: “Reach your Resolutions!”. Surprisingly, I’ve got off to a really good start.
I did it again didn’t I? I’m starting to believe that I may actually require professional help for this little habit of mine, I need banning. Notions of where to hoard my collection are indisputably devoid yet I just HAD to, if for no other reason than the absolute bargains I picked up!
The pace at which your heart usually beats has accelerated at lightening speed and the rhythm is rather irregular, the tightness forming in your chest becomes to feel as though an elephant is sitting on it. You feel hot yet cold at the same time and are sweating, you begin to experience pins and needles in your extremities and/or they’re throbbing. You have lost focus and all sense of realism by this point and the walls have started closing in. Claustrophobic, you realise a boa constrictor has a vice grip around your neck. Tight throat, dry mouth, struggling for air of which just won’t come, you panic even more, scared, feeling light headed and as though you’re going to faint, “Am I going to die? Am I having a heart attack?” Everything around you has faded in the absence of concentration yet your senses are on high alert. Everything is so loud and fast, smells are much more pungent and everything that you can feel is much more substantial. All the while, abhorrent thoughts are penetrating every new notion. Telling yourself that you’re a freak, weak, pathetic, an embarrassment and failure, “Why can’t I just be normal? Why am I so broken?”
This is more common than you probably think but is so frightening, disabling and lonely. Does this sound like you or somebody you love? If so then please read on to hopefully feel that you aren’t alone, pick up some new coping tricks or to learn about this and how to effectively help somebody who is feeling this way. Don’t disregard this as nothing – it could very well happen to you or a loved one someday. Actually, it most likely will.
Well hello there m’dear! Another review post for you is presenting itself in my Christmas and Birthday gift haul! A little disclaimer; I’m in no way trying to ‘show off’ as for starters I’ve chosen select items to review of which I believe complement this blog, I’m appreciative of all of my gifts although gifts aren’t the point, it’s the people you have around you. I’m sharing this post as I know many enjoy these types of hauls, as do I, and of course because I’m briefly reviewing these items. No hidden agenda. Now, where were we? If you would like to have a nosy at my fashion, beauty and other exciting treasures then please read on!
As you will be aware if you’re a Disaster Davis follower or read my recent post ‘A huge Davis disaster!‘, I were unable to post what I had planned on 28/12/2015 due to technical difficulties involving my pictures. This really annoyed me as I always ensure consistent uploads, thankfully the issue is now rectified and I can now bring you the intended post, a little late unfortunately but here we are. I will still be uploading again this week for my usual Monday/Thursday uploading schedule. Now onto the post!
My phenomenal Mom surprised me with a make-up advent calendar this year, Make-Up Revolution London to be precise. This is a brand of which if you follow me you will already know, is one of my absolute favourites. I always find their eyeshadows to be incredibly pigmented. Read on to find out my verdict for everything included within this glorious gift.
As the new year gets underway many are embarking on a journey to reach their goals and targets to achieve their resolutions. Even for those of which have everything all figured out it can still prove a little tough to get started or keep up momentum beyond the new years day hangover or the first gruelling week. Due to this I wanted to do something a little different with my Monday’s posts and for the month of January I’m introducing ‘Motivational Monday’s!’ with the aim to offer a little inspiration to both myself and anybody who may be struggling. I will have a different topic each Monday throughout the month and today’s focus is on routines; the benefits, establishing them and keeping them!
